The simple, convenient and lightweight way to create a durable terrain shell or base. It is a quick, no mix, no mess way of creating a lightweight scenery base. Roll is 8" wide x 15' long (10 sq. ft.)
Cut a managable length of plaster cloth. Hold by the corners and dip into water for about 3 seconds. lift the cloth out of the water and allow excess water to drip off. then place on project with bumpy side up. Smooth with your hand. it is not necessary to cover all of the holes in the cloth.
Cut a second length of cloth, dip in water and overlap the first piece by 50 %. smooth with your hand and continue to repeatd the process until you have completed the project.
We have found that a paint roller pan is a cost effective method for diping the plaster cloth in water. It also gives you a neat way of catching any excess water that drips off the plaster cloth when being raised from the water.
If you allow the plaster cloth to dry prior to finishing. No problem. spray the hardened plaster cloth with water then add the next layer of wet plaster cloth as described above.
